Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering above a crowded California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin above the beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were hurt. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

Officials indicated the chopper was linked to an yearly “Cars N Copters” charity gathering set for the following day.
