First-choice Eleven

The newcomer His first start with the national team. Slightly careless when playing out however his inswinging corners posed a danger. A useful game manager available to the manager to utilize against sides that sit back. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed foul. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries from dead balls and set-plays were dangerous. Had license to move down the left flank yet found himself offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a merited break after an hour. 6

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward role on the right and also did plenty of dirty work. Displayed moments of class and dragged an effort over. Substituted towards the end by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. 7

The winger Had England’s best chance of the first half, his shot well saved from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to provide width on the right although his balls from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th strikes at international level. His first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second an excellent header having drifted away from his marker. At 32, he continues to improve with the national team are strong contenders next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Had a good opening when set up from a teammate yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater influence in his place. 5
